
After a holiday break, with time to internalize some relative grief, it’s time to get back on the proverbial horse.
Higher has many things going for it. But it can get much much better:
Aesthetics
Narrative
Adoption funnels
Capital efficiency
Content distribution
Subgroup formation
These are top of mind but there are endless ways to improve.
This is our advantage as I see things. People are not interested in doing the work. Or at my most generous reading of the situation, they are struggling to understand the opportunities afforded to them.
Meaning there is space waiting to be filled in helping the latter 0 to 1 the above.
We don’t need to do everything. We need to help people realize we can do anything.
Publishing
I hold the opinion that content is [intention x context].
This would mean that digital interfacing is a spectrum of intentions.
Another mental model here is +/-. Slop being a subtracting behavior (pejoratively or non-pejoratively). Source being additive - think source-reference.
For the purposes of this paper, our intention is to help more people find source-like content regarding Higher. In hopes that this accelerates their ability to internalize the concept, find a resonant starting point, and go on to help build within the project.
This means more media. This means exponentially better media. This means a vertical directly attuned to the mission at hand.
Enter Higher Publishing.
Today I got started on upgrading the marketing & advertising thesis for Higher.1
Beyond that, we are going to team up with some other core members and begin working on papers, multimedia, curatorial ventures, etc.
If you are a writer in crypto at large, this is your call to get in touch with me somehow. As I do not believe Higher Publishing to solely be dedicated to propagandizing the higher concept. Moreover, I see the vertical as a way to scale the best philosophies and meaning makers in crypto at larger (back to distribution).
Things I personally value and would be ready to accelerate on:
Nuanced discussion pieces on fiscal philosophies
Deep dives on successful crypto enterprise (moral, philosophical, practical)
Argument pieces on high-order CTAs yet to be achieved in the industry
Constructive critique papers on 4+ yr patterns and methodological constraints
We do not want slop. We want intellectual sex appeal.
For now, expect to see targeted campaigns as we pave way to clearer thinking on the broader scope of the concept.
